technical difficulties

So, for some reason some of the photos i post to this blog don't post true to color...they're a bit faded, sorry about that...i'm wondering if it has anything to do with the layout? if you have any insight on that, let me know!

The following photos are some of my favorites from a few family shoots I did before Christmas. One of the families, the palsroks, are friends of mine and the other family, the cramers, I met at our shoot. I had a blast photographing their families and their adorable little girls! I captured one of my favorite baby faces yet...i bet you'll be able to guess which one it is!

happy tuesday! So, I have a little break from photo sessions this weekend, (but I will be back at it next weekend) but until then i've decided to post some of my favorites every few days. I've only been doing photography "professionally" for about 6 months now, and these are some of the very first sessions that I did. I have learned so much and would do some things differently now, but these photos are some that mean a lot to me, but that I'm also very proud of! enjoy :) 

The next step

Hello everyone! My name is Erin and I am a natural light photographer specializing in infants, children, and families. I also love doing engagement pictures (but am only doing weddings with other photographers at this time)I teach preschool and absolutly love my job, but photography is my dream.  I'm working on getting a website up, but for now will be blogging about my shoots :) I've started making my dream happen with the help of many people who believe in me, and this is my next step! 

Before I post photos of my newest shoot, I really want to thank the people who have helped me get this thing going! I am thankful for my Dad, Stepmom, Mom, Grandparents, and cousin Jenni Schumi, for helping me get my first professional camera, this dream would have been long postponed without them. I also owe a great deal of thanks to Taylor Voss, who gave me some of my very first basic lessons, Lori Smith, my friend and mentor, whether she knows it or not, and Theresa Kemink of TAK photography...she has taught me so much and she is one of the most talented photographers I know, I am so excited to work with her this summer :)Thanks to Chris Pritchard for encouraging me along the way (also another awesome photographer!) Thanks also to my siblings (all of you) and my friends for believing in my dream, and letting me photograph you constantly...the practice is much appreciated. I am so blessed that God has given me so many people who believe in my dream, and that He has given me opportunity to make my dream come true..all I do, I do for Him. 

Okay, sorry that was starting to feel a bit like an oscar speech haha..moving on!  Last weekend I met up with a new client! She and her husband have an 18 month old son named Devin and I had a blast chasing him around their beautiful house. I got a ton of great pictures of the little guy, and have no idea how they are going to choose.Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot (if i can figure out how to post them here that is!)
